Middle School (Grades 7 -8)

Bible

Students continue the BJU Press Bible sequence, which traces the storyline of Scripture across the middle school years. The Life of Christ celebrates Christ as the fulfillment of every Old Testament promise. With the foundation laid in Basics for a Biblical Worldview, students grow in their ability to read Scripture as one unified story and apply it to everyday life.

English & Literature

Students build grammar, composition, and vocabulary skills while being introduced to a range of literary genres. Writing instruction moves students toward more developed essays and creative work, all shaped by a biblical view of communication and truth.

Mathematics

Students progress through Pre-Algebra, strengthening numerical fluency, ratios, percentages, and introductory algebraic reasoning as they prepare for Algebra 1. Lessons apply math concepts to real-world problems within a biblical worldview, examining how math reflects order in God's creation.

Science

The BJU Press science program moves students through Life Science and Earth Science, using hands-on labs, guided-discovery activities, and data analysis to build scientific skills. Students are taught to evaluate scientific findings through the lens of Scripture and to think critically about how science and faith intersect.

History & Social Studies

Students study World History, tracing the sweep of civilizations from Creation to the present day through the lens of a biblical worldview, and beginning the study of United States History, examining the nation's founding and development.

Study Skills

A dedicated Study Skills course builds organizational habits, time management, and academic strategies to prepare students for the increased rigor of high school.

High School (Grades 9-12)

Bible

Courses in Bible Doctrines and Biblical Worldview: Creation, Fall, Redemption equip students to defend their faith and apply Scripture with academic rigor to the challenges of adult life.

English & Literature

A four-year sequence builds grammar, composition, and research writing alongside a survey of American, British, and world literature. Students develop critical reading and analytical writing skills, culminating in capstone writing projects designed to prepare them for college-level work.

Mathematics

Students progress through Algebra 1, Geometry, and Computer Science, applying concepts such as functions, systems of equations, and probability to real-world problems. The program uses graphing technology and digital tools to build advanced problem-solving skills within a biblical framework. In addition to the core math sequence, students complete Ramsey's Foundations in Personal Finance, gaining practical, real-world skills in budgeting, saving, credit, and financial stewardship — equipping them to manage money wisely and honor God with their finances after graduation.

Science

Coursework includes Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, combining lab-based inquiry with case studies and modeling activities. Students learn to engage ethically with scientific data, interpreting it through Scripture and thinking critically about modern scientific issues.

History & Social Studies

Students study World History, United States History, U.S. Government, and Economics, developing a biblical perspective on civilization, liberty, and civic responsibility.

Spanish 1 & 2

Using BJU Press's high school Spanish sequence, students build a foundation in vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills in Spanish 1, progressing to more advanced grammar structures, reading, and communication in Spanish 2. Instruction emphasizes practical language use alongside cultural understanding, equipping students to communicate across cultures and better relate to the diversity of God's world.

Electives

Students participate in elective classes weekly. A specialized instructor teaches each.
